Board of Trustees Meeting Notes
February 5, 2019
Present: President Norris and Trustees Chamberlain, Goldstein, Trustee Haber, Hollander, and Jamerson.
Absent: Trustee Ford.
COMMENTS BY THE PRESIDENT:
Project Update – 5.5 Acres surrounding Village Hall
The President reported that the Village’s grant request of $400,000 toward project improvements of the 5.5 acres of Village-owned property surrounding Village Hall has been approved, pending acceptance by the Village.
The President also said that a questionnaire assessing resident support for this development will be sent to residents by mid-February. The Village will not accept the grant until resident support is measured by the questionnaire.
Wine & Cheese Party
Trustee Chamberlain is hosting a Wine & Cheese Party on Thursday, February 28th from 5:00 to 7:00 at Village Hall. ALL RESIDENTS ARE WELCOME! This social event is a chance to say Hello to your neighbors in a relaxed setting, or to chat with Village officials about your Village concerns.
PLAN COMMISSION REPORT:
At an open Plan Commission meeting on Thursday, September 7th petitioners will propose putting in a senior living facility (age 55 and older) with 12 to 15 beds and staff of two people at 2470 Duffy Lane. This proposal will be deliberated in future Plan Commission meetings.
